The Robert Henri Museum is located in the former hotel and residence that John Cozad built and that his family lived in from 1880-1881 until it was sold to Stephen Hendee in 1994. Cozad constructed the hotel to serve early settlers who arrived in central Nebraska to homestead and various travelers.

The museum is home to an extensive library of Henri resources along with an archive. At present, there are eighteen paintings and forty-three sketches on display; the largest collection of Henri’s work on display in the world.
